As per our Software Licence Agreement, when you accept a booking request through our platform, you become contractually obliged to provide the service to the client.


If you can’t make it to your confirmed appointment for whatever reason, you can simply ‘Abandon’ the booking from your therapist app.


Please note, in order to maintain the customer service excellence Blys is known for and protect the integrity of our platform, Blys has this Cancellation Policy in place:

  • If you abandon a job between 24 hours & 4 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time, Blys applies a cancellation fee of 50% of the total Licence Fee (Blys’s fee). This cancellation fee gets deducted from your next weekly transferred amount. (or will remain as a negative balance in your account until you have funds.)

  • If you abandon a job less than 4 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time, or in event of a practitioner no-show, Blys applies a cancellation fee of 100% of the total Licence Fee (Blys’s fee). This cancellation fee gets deducted from your next weekly transferred amount. (or will remain as a negative balance in your account until you have funds.)

  • If you abandon a job & then accept again within 10min, you don't accrue a cancellation fee.

  • Abandoning confirmed jobs decrease your Reliability Rate in your account.

    • This doesn't apply to couples jobs where the 2nd therapist hasn't been confirmed yet.




Reasons for Abandoning a Job in the Pro App


1. Accepted by Mistake and / or Changed my Mind


We understand that your plans might have changed or you could be double-booked hence, we strongly suggest you check your schedule first and read the booking details before accepting the job. You will incur a fee subject to our Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy, and your reliability rate will be affected. Practitioners who will abandon a booking for this particular reason will incur a cancellation fee subject to our Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy, and the reliability rate will be affected. 



2. Client No Show


Please check here: The client is late. What would I do?



3. Client Payment is Still Pending


Practitioners can only select this option if / when the payment is in a “pending” state. They won’t be allowed to select this option if the payment has been settled and will be asked to choose another reason. Practitioners who will abandon a booking for this particular reason will not incur any cancellation fee and the reliability rate won't be affected. 



4. Partner Pro is Not Confirmed


As a practitioner, you can select this reason if / when the booking requires more than one practitioner and the request is still unconfirmed. Practitioners who will abandon a booking for this particular reason will not incur any cancellation fee and the reliability rate won't be affected.




A practitioner won't incur a cancellation fee for abandoning for this reason and the Reliability Rate on Blys will not be affected however if you're showing symptoms or came in contact with someone who does, we will put your account on hold until we receive a negative result from you.



6. Other


As a practitioner, you need to add your reason in text form in case you haven’t selected any reasons from the above. You may provide a short explanation under this field on why you are abandoning the booking. You will incur a fee subject to our Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy, and your reliability rate will be affected.
