4 Ways to Create a Relaxing In-Home Massage Experience For Your Clients

Customer Service

  • Have a positive and calm attitude

  • Communicate effectively and clearly;

    1. Tap the “On way” button in the Blys Pro app as you start heading to the client. Tapping "On way" sends the client an automated alert that shows your estimated time of arrival - so they can make sure they are prepared for their treatment before you arrive,

    2. Call or message clients via the Blys Pro app to let them know in advance if you're running late,

    3. Ask them before the session if they have any specific condition or preference regarding their treatment, and tailoring the treatment for the client,

    4. Seek their consent before you proceed with the treatment,

    5. Check-in throughout the session to make sure they are comfortable (e.g. checking the pressure you’re using is appropriate and adjusting the treatment accordingly),

    6. Check-in at the end of the session to see if they enjoyed the session, and perhaps offering them practical tips on maintaining their wellness.

  • Display the highest level of professionalism and standards;

    1. Maintain a clean and professional appearance; appropriate attire and neat look,

    2. Always arrive on time - at least 10 minutes before the session start time to set up and get started on time. Call or message clients via the Blys Pro app to let them know in advance if you're running late.

    3. Ask to wash your hands in another room before beginning the session so that they know you value hygiene

    4. Maintain professionalism throughout the session and avoid being too talkative during the session or asking questions that may be deemed too personal (e.g. what star signs they are, anything about politics...etc.)

    5. Go above and beyond to make the experience special (e.g. for massages this could be providing a choice of unscented or scented oil, or placing a cloth or a tissue with essential oil on it in a place where they can smell it during the massage),

    6. Never ask for a 5-star review or a tip, but focus instead on providing an excellent experience that makes them want to give you 5 stars.

  • Respect their privacy and comfort;

    1. Leave the room to provide a private moment before and after the treatment - for the client to undress and dress,

    2. Always apply professional draping. If you're unsure how draping should be done, watch this video we prepared: How to correctly drape for massage

    3. Avoid being too talkative during the session or asking questions that may be deemed too personal (e.g. what star signs they are, anything about politics...etc.)

    4. Always put your phone to silent and avoid using your mobile phone during the session,

    5. Make sure the client stays covered and warm throughout the entire session - particularly for massages,

    6. Never contact clients privately and always contact via the Blys Pro app or via Blys customer service instead,

Equipment

  • Make sure your equipment is always in good condition and sturdy (e.g. for massages this could mean not having a squeaky table)

  • Follow good hygiene practices and have your equipment/ kit always clean and fresh (e.g. for massage this could be having your towels or sheets newly washed and smelling nice, and even matching in colour if possible)

  • Have higher quality equipment (e.g. for massages this could be having a small speaker to play music, rather than simply playing from your phone)

  • Have the right equipment/ kit for the right time (e.g. for massages this could be having a larger towel in winter so the clients stay completely covered or provide an extra blanket so the clients do not feel cold during the massage, or covering the client’s eyes when they are lying supine to block light)
